- The lively Blackbeard's Morning Star liveaboard is the sister ship to Blackbeard's Sea Explorer. This vessel organizes cost-effective trips to the famous dive sites in the Bahamas all year round. You get your money's worth on this liveaboard, with up to 19 dives per week and all meals, snacks and alcoholic drinks (including rum punch!) included in the price. The cozy and relaxed atmosphere of this 65-foot liveaboard sailing sloop comes with 18 bunks, accommodating up to 22 passengers. Berths are single upper and lower or double upper and lower. Each has a privacy curtain similar to a sleeperette on a train. All cabins are in berths and dormitory style. Berths are 74-inches in length, with doubles 48-inches wide and singles 24- to 36-inches wide.
Three complete meals are served daily aboard the Morning Star, as well as snacks and fresh fish in season. Typical American cuisines feature baked chicken, pork loin, lasagna and meatballs, with all the sides and desserts included. Meals on the liveaboard are served buffet-style and eaten picnic-style. There is always a hammock of fresh fruit for guests to snack on between meals.
The dives take place in the crystal clear waters of the Exuma Cays. There is no set and specific itinerary – the crew and captain will sail you to the best areas at the time, depending on weather conditions. With more than 250 various dive sites, there is a suitable place for everyone. From fascinating shark dives and fast drift dives to steep walls and blue holes, guests will find the best the Bahamas has to offer here. There are no private accommodations, all berths are dormitory style. Single travelers may request a double bed at no additional cost but these are only subject to availability. Priority will be given to couples.
