- The 88ft (27m) Nautilus Under Sea - part of the Nautilus fleet - offers divers breathtaking dive trips to the Socorro Islands and Guadalupe in Mexico. This ex-research vessel was the support boat for the James Bond Movie 'License to Kill', and a Deep Rover mission with Dr. Silvia Earle, as well as many research and photography missions, the former Under Sea Hunter has now re-located to Mexico.
With 8 cabins, the Nautilus Under Sea can comfortably accommodate up to 18 guests. There are 6 Cabins on the Lower Deck, 5 have a Queen size bed and an optional, Single upper-bunk, and one room boasts two Bunk Beds. All of the Lower Deck cabins sport a single porthole. On the Main Deck you will find a Quadruple Room featuring 4 Bunk Beds. One Premium Suite can also be found on the Upper Deck and features a Queen-size bed with three portholes. In addition to the amenities mentioned above, each stateroom includes personal hanging lockers, en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and carpeted floors.
The Undersea Hunter also offers plenty of room for relaxation, with a comfortable lounge and dining area, and a large sun-deck with loungers.
You can expect a fusion of Mexican and West Coast North American food with fresh baking, produce and vegetables. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, food allergy options, and quasi kosher menus are available with a prior notice.
The dive deck offers plenty of space for kitting up and gear storage, as well as camera set-up and personal camera storage areas. The Nautilus Under Sea offers two amazing destinations - Socorros and Guadalupe. Diving the Socorro Islands divers will come face to face with giant pacific mantas, and these ones are known as the friendliest mantas in the world! Also, there are sightings of up to 10 different kinds of sharks, dolphins, whale sharks, hammerheads, and humpback whales. Guadalupe is cage diving with great white sharks. A once in a lifetime opportunity to get up close with these amazing creatures, Nautilus Under Sea offers 6-day trips with a pick-up in San Diego and leaving from Ensenada from July to November.
